This course is an introduction to Plant Developmental Biology. It offers a dynamic approach to the study of plant development by integrating recent advances in Genetics and Molecular Biology. The course deals with developmental biology of plants and environmental constrains upon plant growth. The focus is on the regulation of cell division, meristem activity, plant stem cells, embryogenesis and organogenesis. This course focuses on environmental and developmental processes of plant growth and development. A student completing this course should have an understanding of the developmental processes of plant growth and how plants integrate different environmental factors to optimize their growth.
