Abstract

We have proposed a multiscale method for elastic wave equation for arbitrary subgrid variations using multiscale basis functions solved from static linear elasticity problem Recent developments focus on enriched multiscale bases solved from local spectral problem Numerical results show that our multiscale solution can well approximate thene grid solution with great dimension reduction Future work will focus on possible elimination of main error source-the S-waveeld numerical dispersons.
