Abstract

An aerosol detection system for detecting airborne organic matter, the detection system including a corridor (120) extending along a longitudinal axis and having first and second ends (120A, 120B); an access gate (230) connected to the first end (120A) of the corridor (120) and configured to control access of an individual (103) to the corridor (120); a person detection system (260) located in the corridor (120) and configured to determine the presence of the individual (103) inside the corridor (120); and a testing set (200) configured to generate an air puff (252), which directs an exhaled breath (254) of the individual (103) for determining a presence of the airborne organic matter. The corridor (120) has a width w_c that allows movement of a single individual past the testing set (200). Fig 2.
