Abstract

The magnetic properties of a series of exchanged biased NiFe/IrMn rings were studied. The study was carried out by using magnetic force microscopy hysteresis loop measurement at various temperature. Magnetic properties of arrays of NiFe/IrMn rings with inner diameter from 0.35 to 1.50 μm and the outer diameter of 2.0 μm were also used for the study. It was found that the magnetic behaviours in NiFe/IrMnrings were different from those of continuous NiFe/IrMn bilayers and NiFe single layer rings.
