The Borweins were a recent prominent family of mathematicians. Consisting of father David (1924–2021) and two sons, the brothers Jonathan (1951–2016) and Peter (1953–2020), between them they made important contributions to areas such as classical analysis, computational mathematics, and experimental mathematics. In my original article, when discussing the rediscovery of the quadratic harmonic series that would later go on to become known as the series of Au-Yeung after its rediscoverer, I mentioned that on Au-Yeung’s bringing the series to the attention of Jonathan, the latter together with David gave what amounted to a third independent evaluation for the series. I incorrectly stated that David was the brother of Jonathan, when I should have said he was his father.
