Abstract
A ID nanotubular coordination polymer with its wall composed of edge-sharing hexagons was developed by utilizing 2,2′-bipyridine-3,3′-dicarboxylate-1,1′-dioxide and Cu 2+ ions that produces an antiferromagnetic behavior. The structure and properties of coordination nanotubular architectures depend on the coordination geometries of both metal atoms and ligands. The magnetic behavior was observed that considered the large separation and six bridging atoms between magnetic metal sites in the structure. The results show that the bpdado is a promising ligand for constructing nanostructured coordination polymers.
