Abstract
In this paper, a multilayer structure is proposed to design a broadband reflector that has the capability to reflect a wide range of spectrum from ultra-violet to infra-red region for TE polarised light. The design analysis is carried out using transfer matrix method (TMM). The structure is designed using alternate layers of appropriate high and low refractive indices. The proposed structure demonstrates more than 97% reflectivity for the wavelength range of 0.3μm-2.5μm (solar spectrum). Thus, it has the potential to be used in various applications such as passive radiative cooler, and as a heliostat in concentrated solar power etc.
