Abstract
The synthesis of core-shell latex particles is discussed in this paper. Various macromonomers have been engineered and used as steric reactive stabilizers to render these particles surface active. Latexes of polystyrene, polynorbornene and polyurethane have been obtained in aqueous, organic and supercritical CO2 dispersant media. The fields of application of these original materials are also discussed.
