Abstract
A device for measuring velocity of an elastic wave and a measurement method using the same are provided to check up the ground in an undisturbed state and to easily estimate anisotropy of the soil on the spot. A device(100) for measuring velocity of an elastic wave is composed of a scoop-shaped connector(20) having a combining unit formed at the upper part to join with the end of an intrusion rod(10) penetrating through a bored hole and a sharp lower end for easily inserting the measuring device; plural cylindrical support bars(30) coupled to the connector to charge the inside with samples and stretched downward; a support ring(40) combined to the upper sides of plural support bars to keep the strength and shape of the support bars; plural transducers(50) vertically installed on the inner surfaces of one of plural support bars and the opposite support bar to transmit and receive the elastic wave; and an annular guide shoe(60) joined to the end of the support bar and provided with a sharp lower end to minimize disturbance of the ground in inserting the measuring device into the ground.
