title = "Direct conversion of ethylene to propylene",
abstract = "With the aid of the fundamental and conceptual tools of molecular chemistry and elementary steps of organometallic chemistry, it has been possible to describe the mechanism of catalytic cycles in the field of alkane chemistry (alkane metathesis). Thus, it is possible to discover a number of new catalytic reactions in the filed of paraffins and olefins. A discussion on these new reactions covers metathesis of alkanes (with tantalum and tungsten hydrides); methane-olysis of alkanes (with tantalum hydrides); methane to ethane and hydrogen (with tungsten hydrides); and ethylene to propylene (with tungsten hydrides). This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 19th Annual Saudi-Japan Symposium on Catalysts in Petroleum Refining and Petrochemicals (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia 11/8-9/2009).",
