Abstract

The divergent synthesis of aliphatic polyester dendrons from a poly(p-hydroxystyrene) core was reported. Time of flight mass spectroscopy and size exclusion chromatography (SEC) were used to characterize the resulting polymers. The dendronized polymers exhibited narrow polydispersities and relatively high degrees of polymerization. The results showed that the water solubility and narrow polydispersity made them useful for biomedical applications.
