    Abstract

Control of combustion dynamics by plasma requires a good understanding of the coupled thermal and chemical effects of the discharges on the flame behavior. The direct visualization of nonthermal nanosecond glow discharges affecting the shape of a laminar flame illustrates this chemical action.
