Abstract

Glycerol is a major byproduct formed during biodiesel production. In general, glycerol has limited uses in the food industry as well as a medical application, while the production rate of glycerol is expected to continuously increase caused by renewable energy demand. In this regard, plasma techniques dealing with glycerol including reforming are of interest subject. To date, most studies to reform glycerol investigated gas phase reformation, such as hydrogen, methane, acetylene, ethylene, and ethane. $^{1}$ However, either utilization of in-liquid plasma or production of reformed liquid is rarely reported.
