Abstract
The generation of the granular jets was discussed. The jets resulted from the impact of a solid lead sphere onto a deep flat layer of granular medium consisting of spherical glass beads. The maximum height of jets depended upon the impact velocity, gravity and viscosity of the granular medium calculated by the product of Reynolds and Froude numbers.
