title = "Induction of mesogenicity in the side-chain of polysiloxanes vi hydrogen-bonding: From Ferroelectric to non-planar liquid crystalline assemblies",
abstract = "The structural principles currently used for the design and synthesis of side-chain liquid crystalline polymers (SCLCPs) are based on appending rod like mesogenic groups to different polymer backbones using flexible methylene spacers. The authors have developed a new class of liquid crystalline materials comprised of two complementary fragments that self-assemble into elongated mesogenic structures via hydrogen bonding (H-bonding). The paper presents results of a study of the effect of planarity of the H-bonded complexes on their liquid crystallinity was undertaken.",
