Abstract
The catalytic performance of Pt-Pd catalysts supported on H-USY zeolite during the hydrocracking of LCO at high pressures was studied. As soon as the feedstock came into contact with hydrogen and catalytic bed, under the reaction conditions, a fast reduction of the diesel and HCO fraction occurred with the subsequent increase in the lighter fractions, i.e., gasoline, LPG, and gases. Reaction temperature, space velocity, and pressure significantly influenced the kinetic mechanisms and thus, the product yields. When the reaction temperature increased, the yield to lighter products (gasoline, dry gas, and LPG) increased, while the yield of diesel and HCO decreased. The effect of temperature on the reaction mechanism was more obvious in the range 300°-350°C than in the range 350°-400°C.
