Abstract

We present electroabsorption spectroscopy to measure the internal electric field in green phosphorescent polymer light-emitting-diodes with crosslinked interlayer between PEDOT:PSS and emissive layer. The phenomenon of trapped electrons screening the bulk semiconductor from the external field can explain the efficiency improvement by adding a 5-30 nm MUPD film near the anode. © 2007 SID.
