Abstract

The development of new ammonia decomposition technology is desired to realize sustainable and clean energy system. The conventional decomposition process by using thermal energy has been developed and employed for several decades. However, it suffers from inflexible operating conditions and greenhouse gas emissions. Plasma can address problems that thermal decomposition possesses. In this regard, this study investigates plasma chemical kinetics for ammonia decomposition with newly developed kinetic solver.
