Abstract

We explore how blackout sizes change when power dispatching is done using some uneconomical policies that seek to reduce loading of transmission lines. The uncoupled DC models of IEEE power grids test cases 30, 57 and 118 are used to show the effect of the studied policies. © 2013 TU Dresden.
