Abstract
Ceramic composite membranes are known to exhibit molecular sieving effects, so they have been attracting a good deal of attention due to important applications such as separation technology, but the time needed to synthesize them is very long, because they are usually prepared in a furnace. In this paper, ceramic composite membranes were synthesized by a microwave-heating method similar to that used in making mesoporous powders. By using a modified Yoldas method, a sol-gel technique and microwave heating, a ceramic composite membrane was prepared successfully and the synthesis time was greatly reduced, the process was reproducible.
