Abstract
In micro-scale systems, temperature measurements concern the detection of a low level signal from a very small area in the presence of high noise level. A Pyroelectric transducer seems the best compromise between dimensions (being passive system it doesn't require power supply), sensitivity, time responses and large scale of integration In this paper we take into consideration the application of ferroelectric polymer in micro-fluidic systems with emphasis on pyroelectric transducer technology and measurements. Indeed, the operating temperature range is suitable for the most biological applications.
