Abstract
Crosswell seismograms are attened to the direct-P ar- rival and migrated according to a reduced-time imaging condition for transmitted PS migration. Reduced-time migration, an interferometric method, uses the arrival- time difference betw een the direct P-wave and subsequent events to increase migration accuracy. Reduced-time mi- gration decreases the effect of an incorrect velocity model on migration and allows con versionpoints to be placed closer to their true positions. Synthetic- and real-data ex- amples are given for the crosswell case. Results show that reduced-time migration of transmission PS is noticeably more accurate than standard migration of transmission PS-waves.
