Abstract

Angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (ARPES) results were presented on the electronic structure of the quasi-1D organic conductor tetrathiafulvalene tetracyanoquinodimethane (TTF-TCNQ). It was demonstrated that the TCNQ related part of the experimental spectra can be consistently mapped onto the 1D Hubbard model at finite doping. The ARPES data showed spectroscopic signatures of spin-charge separation on an energy scale of the conduction bandwidth.
