Abstract

The homochiral metal-organic coordination polymer of the composition [{Pr(H 2O) 2} 2-(D-tart) 3] ·H 2O was synthesized by heating an aqueous solution of praseodymium(III) chloride and d-tartaric acid (D-H 2tart) in the presence of KOH. The crystal structure of the polymer was determined by X-ray crystallography and confirmed by IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and elemental analysis.
