Abstract

An exact graft copolymer (EGC) of isoprene and styrene with two branches was synthesized using 1,4-bis(phenylethenyl)benzene (PEB) as linking agent. The key factor in the successful synthesis of the polymer as the formation of PEB macromonomer from the living chain and the linking agent. The EGC showed high degree of molecular and compositional homogeneity.
