Abstract

We review the story of stereoselective 1-olefin polymerization with a focus on the production of isotactic polypropylene. Starting from the visionary modeling of early TiCl3 catalysts, this contribution will move to introduce briefly to the modeling of stereoselective propene polymerization by homogeneous catalysts and will conclude with an outlook on the type of modeling and techniques that will likely dominate the near future.
